Ava's Demon is a webcomic written by Michelle Czajkowski. It's a story about a girl, the demon possessing her and an intergalatic empire she has to destroy if she wants a new life.

Alternately it's a story about mental illness and coping mechanisms.

Michelle works as an animator for Dreamworks and often the end sections are animated, the most famous being Morbid Malediction. The art is known for being fantastic however the pacing is very slow. The storyboard format doesn't help with this. It's not uncommon for a hundred panels to go by with no real progress. This changes when Wrava shows up:

(Everyone in the area decides to move away from anything resembling a stage.)

(They're too late.)

If you do decide to read it there are some panels that even gore hounds found distrubing. When you get to the 'Paradise Machine' it's very soon.

That was pretty awesome. Couldn't let go of it once I got started. Solid presentation when it comes to the art and densely packed with in between frames. She definitely knows what she's doing and isn't afraid to take her time, showing all of her universe frame by frame.

She's done some very good character work as well. Tuls and Gil are facets of lust and envy you don't see very often. I'm still not sure whether Maggie is very brave or very stupid.

There's also an archive of questions Michelle had answered in the past:
