 Re: Hellsing OVA 8
I've been slacking off for some time. But why aren't there any more english releases of the OVA? I remember that there were issues with the production company a while ago.. Can someone update me on this? P.S: I'm still thrilled about the site being up and running again

 Re: Hellsing OVA 8
According to the other thread Funimation are going to be distributing the OVA in 2011 so we'll see. The original company that distributed the OVA, Geneon USA, went under a while ago.

I want Vlad impaling stuff. 'nuff said!
But on the serious side, I just want to see how they will animate the whole thing, especially the horde of Alucard's souls.

I wouldn't bee suprised if CGI will play a big part, at least before the souls materialize and is pretty much just a river of blood, with people shapes in it (like the horse river in LOTR).

Yes, I fully expect OVA VIII to be heavy with CGI. I just hope it's good CGI, not crappy CGI.

Not to mention the beard. I wouldn't worry to much about the cgi quality though. They've come along way since Alucard pulled up his Casul in vol I.

 Re: Hellsing OVA 8
They did a decent job with Zorin's illusions in 6 and 7, so I think they will do so here too. And speaking of the beard, I can'twaitto see Seras reaction to Vladcuard. She was so cute in the manga.

 Re: Hellsing OVA 8
I really can't wait for the OVA. I've been rewatching the other OVAs while I wait for the 8th one right now. Does anyone have a english subbed copy of OVA 6? I want a version for my ipod too.
Honestly, I bet that they'll animate the hordes of souls like Hirano drew them in the manga. It gets extremely tedious as you continue to draw and redraw them so it'll probably be detailed at the beginning but it'll turn into a bunch of black blobs later.
